About Us

Our Story

The idea was born in 2015 in Fort Myers, FL. Strength and Honor was more than a phrase for us. It was a call to action. A calling to Service yet to be realized.

Some short time after it formed, on September 10th of 2017, Hurricane Irma devastated Southwest Florida. With the inspirational support from our partners at the time, that idea grew into a vision. We have worked hard to make that vision a reality through discipline and relentless pursuit of serving others.

What began as a humble, grassroots movement has grown into a registered Florida nonprofit dedicated to ensuring our American Heroes invaluable contributions are Recognized, Preserved and Honored.

We envision a community where every Veteran and First Responder, along with their families, feels supported, empowered, and never forgotten. Through partnerships, charitable initiatives, and hands-on service, we provide both practical resources and lasting encouragement for those who choose to Serve

Kristina Schira

Founder

Kristina is the founder of Strength n Honor Charities, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving veterans, first responders, and their families through acts of service, community outreach, and faith-driven support. Guided by compassion and gratitude, she created the organization to honor those who sacrifice so much for others. In addition to her charitable work, Kristina has proudly served for the past several years as the Location Coordinator for Wreaths Across America in Lee County Cemeteries, leading efforts to remember and honor fallen heroes through annual wreath-laying ceremonies and volunteer engagement. Her unwavering dedication reflects her belief that true strength and honor are found in serving others.

Brett Schira

Co-Founder

Brett Schira brings a spirit of dedication and compassion to his role as Treasurer & Director at Strength n Honor Charities, inspired by a genuine desire to give back to veterans and their families. Known for his approachable nature and tireless work ethic, Brett forges meaningful connections with both volunteers and the community, helping ensure every event and initiative reflects the charity’s core values. His commitment stems not only from a sense of duty but also from personal gratitude for the sacrifices veterans have made, driving him to champion programs that provide support, camaraderie, and hope to those who need it most.

Adam Palladino

President & Director

Northern born, Florida grown. 31 great years in the Hospitality industry. He continues to look for ways to serve others. He learned the strength of sacrifice and the powerful impact donating time to others can have on their state of being. It’s what drives his purpose, the calling behind the conviction.

Jeffrey Powers

Secretary & Director

Jeff Powers is an entrepreneur and philanthropist with a distinguished career in the animal health and pharmaceutical industry. A proud supporter of America’s veterans, he founded a charitable foundation that provides no-cost veterinary products to service dogs assisting those who served. His leadership on several nonprofit boards reflects his enduring commitment to patriotism, community, and compassion.
